Intended use: A chromogenic medium for the detection and enumeration of E. coli in food and water samples.
Typical formula (g/l)*: Peptone and yeast extract 8.3; Sodium chloride 5.0; Chromogenic mix 9.0; Agar 15.0
Interpretation: E. coli colonies are blue, other gram-negative bacteria are colourless, gram positive bacteria are inhibited.
