Intended use: A general purpose nutritious broth containing inactivators for antimicrobial agents.
Typical formula (g/l)*: Pancreatic digest of casein 17.0; Papaic digest of soya-bean (meal) 3.0; Sodium chloride 5.0; Dipotassium hydrogen phosphate/Dibasic potassium phosphate 2.5; Glucose monohydrate 2.5; Tween 20 40.0 ml; Lecithin 5.0
Interpretation: Growth in the medium is indicated by turbidity compared to an uninoculated control. Subculture to appropriate media for identification.
