The Sterile Transfer Pouch from Great Divide Labs is designed to enable safe and aseptic handling of stainless steel strip biological indicators after exposure in hydrogen peroxide vapor (VHP) bio-decontamination processes.
The transfer pouch is identical in construction to the original packaging of the stainless steel strips but contains no indicator. Each pouch is empty and sterilized via a validated VHP cycle. It is intended for use together with stainless steel strips used as “naked” biological indicators.
When stainless steel strip BIs cannot be aseptically transferred directly after exposure, the sterile transfer pouch provides a controlled solution. The exposed strip is placed into the sterile pouch and can then be safely transferred to a clean hood or laboratory environment for subsequent culturing and analysis.
This solution supports reliable handling during cycle development, validation, and routine monitoring of hydrogen peroxide vapor bio-decontamination processes, particularly where primary packaging is avoided to ensure direct spore exposure.
Key benefits:
- Sterilized via validated VHP cycle
- Designed specifically for use with stainless steel strip (“naked”) BIs
- Enables safe post-exposure transfer when aseptic handling is challenging
- Supports GMP-compliant bio-decontamination validation workflows
