Chemical Process Indicators (CPIs), ISO 11140-1 TYPE 1 (Gamma or E-beam)
True Indicating Radiation Chemical Process Indicator labels are manufactured with:
- Indicating Ink which contains no lead or other toxic heavy metals
- A high quality film which prevents Indicators from being torn or damaged during transport and exposure
- Latex-free pressure sensitive adhesive
- An overlaminant which provides protection from UV light aiding to minimize color transition while in storage prior to exposure
The Indicators are designed to provide confirmation of exposure to a radiation process through color transition from Yellow to Red. The Indicators may be used to monitor radiation dose levels of 10 kGy and greater. The higher the dose level the darker the Red transition color will become.
